| This service to our patients
oversees their management of the blood thinner medication that
they are taking for various reasons. The regulation of the dosing
of the medication coumadin helps to prevent heart attack, stroke
and other lethal blood clots. |
Patients are monitored daily, weekly, or monthly
depending on how easily their blood level is controlled. The clinic
also provides education for the patients on the medication, which
includes the warning signs of changes in their management status
and when to call their physician.
